City Trip to Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a bustling city, which is mostly famous for its many casinos, strip shows, wedding chapels and large hotels. It is an entertainment city of high standards, where you can truly do all kinds of things. Las Vegas is in the United States, in the state Nevada. The city is located in the middle of the desert, which is why temperatures are very high. Las Vegas has an international airport.

Sights in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a city filled with sights. These sights are mostly the hotels which have four or even five stars. As a visitor, you can visit these hotels for free. The most famous hotels can be found on The Strip, a street of approximately ten kilometres or six miles. Here you can find, for example, the New York New York Hotel, with a rollercoaster which goes around New York's skyline. There is also the Bellagio Hotel, which is known worldwide for its dancing fountains. You can watch this show for free.

The Venetian Hotel has real gondolas on the second floor, and you feel like you really are in Venice. Perhaps you prefer the Stratosphere, where you can find the highest attractions in the world. Or go the Circus Circus Hotel, which has an actual theme park.

The Strip is not the only street in Las Vegas. Another famous street is Fremont Street, which was there long before The Strip was created. Here is a beautiful light and sound show every night. There are also famous old casinos such as Golden Nugget.

Las Vegas aso has many shows. These are not just strip shows, but also concerts, dance performances and comedy. Their prices are entirely dependent on the show. You can find cheap shows, but also very expensive ones by big stars such as Celine Dion.

The many wedding chapels will absolutely amaze you. You can get married in Las Vegas for a reasonable price. Do you want Elvis to marry you? No problem, all this is possibe. Of course you can then finish the wedding by booking a Honeymoon suite in one of te many hotels.

Of course the casinos in Las Vegas are also world-famous. There are enormous and you can even get lost inside of them because they're that large. Enjoy a drink while gambling, because these are handed out for free. You can also get something to eat or drink.

Museums

You may not expect it, but Las Vegas has various museums you can visit. For example, the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. This is one of the best art galleries of Las Vegas and is very suitable for people who would also like to do something cultural in this entertainment city.

Las Vegas also has a Madame Tussauds branch. Here you can see wax figures of celebrities and also take photos with them. There is also lots of interactivity in the museum.

Go to the Natural History Museum too. A museum entirely focused on nature. There are fossils and you can see what dinosaurs used to look like. It's not a museum you would expect in Las Vegas, but because of that it is great fun to see.

Shopping

Las Vegas is also an excellent city for some shopping. All large hotels have various shops where you can buy things. You can also find many special shops on the Strips, such as the Coca Cola shop, which only sells Coca Cola goods. Another interesting thing is the M&M shop. This shop has three floors and only contains things related to M&Ms. You can also buy M&Ms in all possible colours.

An absolute must is the Las Vegas outlet. Here you can buy numerous famous brand goods and clothes for inviting prices. You can take advantage of disounts and shop very inexpensively. People who love brands should definitely visit the outlet.

Spending the night

Las Vegas is the city of hotels. There is an extreme amount of luxury hotels. And although they are very fancy, the prices aren't too bad, especially when you compare them to other four and five star hotels in the world. Except for the expensive hotels there are of course also many cheaper ones. These can often be found in the sidestreets of The Strip. Many hotels are within walking distance of the famous sights, which means you can easily walk there.

Tips

• Bring along a vest. Although it is very warm in Las Vegas, the airconditioning can cause it to be very chilly in the hotels.
• Determine how much money you'll be taking along and spending beforehand, so you won't spend it all.
• You can go out to eat in Las Vegas for very little money. Many hotels have an all-you-can-eat buffet for a keen price, where you can also eat if you are not a guest in the hotel.
• Do you want to go to a show? Make sure you reserve on time. Especially large shows are sold out quickly.
